●EDITORIAL STANDARDS
How we work.
Fitness writing is only as good as its honesty about sources and limits. Here's how an article gets from "we should explain X" to published — and exactly what you can hold us to.
This is education, not medical advice
Everything on Best Fitness is general fitness and nutrition education. It is not personalized medical, nutrition, physical-therapy, or injury advice, and we are not your doctor, dietitian, or coach. We don't know your health history, injuries, medications, or goals — so we can't tell you what you should do. Use our articles to understand your options, then confirm with a qualified professional before you act.
Who runs this
Best Fitness is published by Joy Jacob through dhumketu ai labs, an independent publisher in Ahmedabad, India. Joy is an automation engineer (Product Owner at Oizom), not a physician or licensed dietitian — which is why every article leans on primary sources rather than personal authority. One editor, no sponsors dictating copy, no supplement brand behind the curtain.
What we cover
Everyday training and nutrition across five clusters: Training, Nutrition, Weight Loss, Supplements, and Recovery. We write for normal people making real decisions — the first-timer at the gym, the person starting a cut, the runner nursing sore knees — not competitive athletes with a coaching team, and not other fitness influencers.
How we use AI
We use AI to assist research and drafting. The pipeline looks roughly like this:
- Topic selection — chosen by Joy based on what people are actually asking and where existing coverage is weak, outdated, or hype.
- Research — AI gathers current guidance and findings from the web, anchored to primary sources. Joy reviews and corrects what AI gets wrong (it gets things wrong).
- Draft — AI writes a structured first draft from that research.
- Editorial pass — Joy fact-checks every claim against its authority, removes hallucinated or stale statements, strips hype, and adds the caveats a real body and history need.
- Publish — the article is committed to git, the build pipeline applies the design system, and Cloudflare Pages deploys it.
Google's helpful-content guidance doesn't penalise AI-assisted content; it penalises AI-generated content with no human oversight or expertise. We sit firmly on the "assisted, then human-checked" side of that line — which matters more here than anywhere, because this is your health.
Sources and citations
When we state a claim, dose, guideline, or number, we link to the authority it comes from — the WHO, the CDC, the NIH and its Office of Dietary Supplements, the ACSM, ISSN position stands, or peer-reviewed meta-analyses — not an influencer's blog or reel. Claims are accurate as of the article's last revision date. Guidelines and the evidence base shift; we update when we notice or get told.
Updates and corrections
Spot something wrong — an outdated guideline, a broken link, a factual error? Email hello@dhumketu.space with the URL and the issue. We correct factual errors fast. The "Updated" date at the top of each article is the last time it was substantively revised.
Affiliate policy
Some links are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. Three rules we hold ourselves to:
- The recommendation comes first, the affiliate program second. If a good product (say, a plain creatine monohydrate) has no affiliate program, we still recommend it. If a product with a generous program isn't backed by evidence, we won't.
- If something gets worse, we say so. Articles get re-reviewed; a product that drops out of our recommendation also loses its affiliate placement.
- No paid placement disguised as editorial. Sponsored content, if we ever run it, is clearly labelled. We currently accept none.
We never earn commission tied to a specific health outcome for you — no "take this and we both win" framing where the risk is yours to carry.
Advertising
This site is funded by Google AdSense and affiliate commissions. We don't choose which AdSense ads appear — Google's auto-placement does. Ads are not endorsements, and an advertised supplement or program is not a Best Fitness recommendation. If an ad is broken or misleading, email us a screenshot.
Privacy and data
How we handle visitor data is documented on our privacy page. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the site and serve advertising; everything beyond that is handled by Google and Cloudflare under their published policies.
Editorial independence
Joy is the sole editor and has final say on every article. No supplement brand, gym, app, or vendor sees articles before publication, gets pre-approval rights, or can pay to change what we say. Independence is the only thing a health publication really has.
If you have a complaint
Email hello@dhumketu.space. Substantive feedback gets a response within seven days. Bulk outreach, "feature us" pitches with no genuine fit, and link-trade requests do not.
